Adding Trend Display

Adding Trend Display
An object type can have a default Object Trend that shows one or more of the signal
values for the object. To add an Object Trend, for all instances, select the object type
and do the following steps:
1.
Open the Trend Display.
2.
Create a new aspect "Trend display" on the device object type e.g. Simple On
Off Motor.
3.
Double-click the first field in the Object column. Click the "..." button to
browse for an object. Browse to the Motor_On signal object and click OK.
4.
Select the aspect that has the value (e.g. Binary PCA) to trend.
5.
Select the property to trend. e.g. Value.
6.
Select TRIM as Log Name.
7.
Configure additional fields if needed.
8.
The trend is now configured and will show up on each instance of this type.

Creating the Device Object Instances

Data from the PLCs are received by signal objects defined in the control structure.
The signals are grouped below device objects representing devices in the factory.
To be able to present the data in displays in Compact HMI 800, the device objects
are equipped with graphics elements.
Device object types with corresponding signals, graphics elements and faceplates
was created in the previous chapter. This chapter describes how these object types
can be instantiated and connected to individual signals in the PLCs.
Before displays are built, the objects are moved to the Functional Structure where
they can be easily addressed by the Graphics engine. Read more about structures in
