ON/OFF Line
The ON/OFF Line switch is used to select the
printer after power is applied. In the ON position
the printer is connected to the central processor
and is available for the printing of transmitted
lines. In the OFF position the device is OFF Line
to the central processor.
Form Space
This pushbutton switch is used to manually
advance the paper in the printer to the top-of
form. The top-of-form is the first selected print
line following the paper perforation. This push
button is also used to reposition the paper tape
controller to the first printing position (printer
reacts to the punches in the paper tape to control
all print formatting). The top-of-form is deter
mined by the operator when the paper tape was
made (punched).
Before this form spacing switch is used the
operator should ensure that the ON/OFF Line
switch is positioned in the OFF Line position.
The Form Space switch is not operational when
the printer is ON Line to the Central Processor.
FomlS Override
The Forms Override switch enables the opera
tor to override the Paper-Out indicator, thereby
allowing the current form to be completed before
changing the paper. This is very important so that
the form currently being printed is not split onto
two separate forms.
Single Space
The Single Space pushbutton switch is used
for manual single-line feeds but is not operational
when the printer is On Line to the Central
Processor.
Paper Out
The Paper Out indicator is used to indicate an
Out-of-Paper situation. The operator can press the
Forms Override switch to override the condition
(complete the current form) or immediately
change the paper.
