6.8 Sending and Receiving a DTMF Code
Encode/Decode List
Encode/Decode List is the list in which the DTMF codes for encoding and decoding used in Remote Control are
configured. (Refer to

Encode
DTMF encode code is the DTMF code to be sent if the repeater receives a command from an external device or
if a function assigned to an AUX port becomes active or inactive, or enabled or disabled. A DTMF code
consisting of a maximum of 16 digits can be sent.
The following functions relevant to DTMF Encode can be configured using KPG-174D:

Decode
DTMF decode code is the DTMF code used by the repeater to wait to receive the code which is sent from
another subscriber unit to remotely control the repeater. If the DTMF code matches the DTMF code
preconfigured for the repeater, a function assigned to a PF key or AUX port on the repeater becomes active or
inactive, or enabled or disabled. The repeater can wait to receive with a DTMF code consisting of a maximum of
16 digits.

Table 6-12 Configuration in Encode/Decode List > Encode
Frequency is a transmit tone frequency to send a Transpond code using a single tone when the
repeater receives an Air Remote code or when a function assigned to a PF key or AUX port
becomes active or inactive, or enabled or disabled by using Air Remote.
Period is the transmit time to send a Transpond code using a single tone when the repeater
receives an Air Remote code or when a function assigned to a PF key or AUX port becomes active
or inactive, or enabled or disabled by using Air Remote.
Sidetone is the function to emit the DTMF sidetone from the speaker while the repeater sends a
DTMF code.
