Waiting to Receive on the Transmit Frequency (Standby on Transmit Frequency)
Standby on Transmit Frequency is the function to wait to receive on the transmit frequency configured for each
channel while the repeater is in the standby mode. This function must be disabled if the repeater waits to receive on
a frequency shifted from the transmit frequency.
For instance, a subscriber having a subscriber unit may be within several meters of the repeater if the repeater
system is placed within a building, other than the roof of a building or mountain top. In such a case, if the repeater is
locked on the frequency that TX VCO is preprogrammed, the subscriber unit may become busy due to chassis
radiation from the repeater even if the repeater is not transmitting. The same phenomenon may occur during a
repeater operation check while installing the system or demonstrating.
If Standby on Transmit Frequency is disabled, this trouble can be avoided because the repeater waits to receive
shifting the TX VCO by 18.75 kHz while the repeater is in the standby mode. However, the rise time of transmission
is delayed approximately 15 ms to 20 ms if this function is disabled; therefore, we recommend enabling this function
except in the above-mentioned cases.

Beat Shift

Beat Shift is the function to avoid the deterioration of receive performances caused by oscillators in the repeater.
The harmonic from the oscillators in the repeater may interfere with the repeater depending on the receive
frequency. Using this function can avoid degrading receive performances by shifting an oscillator frequency.
The clock frequency of the oscillator in the repeater is shifted slightly on a channel with Beat Shift enabled.
