4.7 Restricting the Continuous Transmission Time (Time-out Timer (TOT))

TOT Pre-alert

TOT Pre-alert is the function to notify a user that the continuous transmission by Time-out Timer is about to end.
The warning tone (TOT Pre-alert Tone (3 beeps)) sounds from the repeater before the transmission ends by Time-
out Timer.
Example: Time-out Timer: 30 sec, TOT Pre-alert: 4 sec
Note
If "Off" is configured in TOT Pre-alert, TOT Pre-alert does not sound from the repeater.
Configuration using KPG-174D
• Configuring TOT Pre-alert for transmission using the PTT (microphone) switch (

• Configuring TOT Pre-alert for transmission using the Console PTT control (
Common Page 2 > Local Mic PTT)

TOT Rekey Time

TOT Rekey Time is the length of time from when the transmission ends by Time-out Timer until the next
transmission becomes available.
Example: Time-out Timer: 30 sec, TOT Rekey Time: 20 sec
Note
If "Off" is configured in TOT Rekey Time, the next transmission is immediately available.
