Starting the server

3.5.1
To start the server
1. Press the Power On/Standby button on the front panel of HP ProLiant DL360p Gen8 server.
2. Wait for the power light to become solid blue.

Configuring RAID in HP ProLiant DL360p Gen8 server
Perform the following steps to configure a new virtual disk of RAID5 four physical disks and one hot
spare.
To configuring RAID in HP ProLiant DL360p Gen8 server
1. Press F8 during HP Smart Array P420i initialization.
2. Select Create Logical Drive.
3. Press the SPACEBAR to select Available Physical drives
A list of Hard disk drives appears.
4. Select four hard disk drives.
5. Press TAB to navigate to the next window.
6. Select RAID 5, that is [x] RAID 5.
7. Press TAB to navigate to the next window.
8. Uncheck the Use one drive as a Spare option, that is [x] Use one drive as a Spare .
9. In available physical drives, ensure that the last hard drive is marked as [S] 7.
10. Press TAB.
11. After selecting hot spare in Use one drive as a Spare, select Maximum boot partition.
12. Ensure the settings are [X] Disable 4GB MAX , [ ] Enable 8 GB Max.
13. Press Enter to create RAID Volume with Hot Spare.
14. Press F8.
The confirmation window appears with the Configuration saved message.
15. Press Enter
16. Press ESC to complete boot procedure.

Starting the TDC emulator services
If this is a TPS node with the LCNP4e/LCNp4e2 board installed, start the TDC Emulator service.
Perform the following steps to start the service.
