4. Detach the rear clip (A), then r e m o v e the door glass
outer weatherstrip (B).
Fastener Location
5. Install a new weatherstrip in the reverse order of
removal.

NOTE:
• If y o u remove the door outer m o l d i n g , replace it w i t h
a new one because it w i l l bend d u r i n g removal.
• Put on gloves to protect your hands.
• Take care not to scratch the door.
• Use the appropriate tool f r o m the KTC t r i m tool set to
avoid damage w h e n prying c o m p o n e n t s .
1. Pry the front clip (A) w i t h a t r i m t o o l .

2. W h i l e r e m o v i n g the upper edge of the door outer
m o l d i n g (B) f r o m the edge of the sash, cut the
double-sided adhesive tapes (C) w i t h a utility knife,
then remove the m o l d i n g .
3. Scrape off the remaining double-sided adhesive
tape f r o m the sash, then clean the sash surface
w i t h a sponge d a m p e n e d in alcohol.
4. Install a new door outer m o l d i n g in the reverse
order of removal, and note these items:
• Push the clip and the adhesive portions into place
securely.
• Make sure the upper and lower sides of the
m o l d i n g are catching the edges of the sash
properly.
