Intermediate Shaft Removal - Honda ACCORD HYBRID 2005 Service Manual

I n t e r m e d i a t e S h a f t R e m o v a l
1. Drain the automatic t r a n s m i s s i o n f l u i d . Reinstall
the drain plug w i t h a n e w washer (see page 14-231).
2. Remove the right driveshaft (see page 16-3).
3. Remove exhaust pipe A (see step 41 on page 5-7).
4. Remove the exhaust pipe bracket (A) and heat
shield (B).

5. Remove the flange bolt (A) and t w o dowel bolts (B).

6. Remove the intermediate shaft (A) f r o m the
differential. Hold the intermediate shaft horizontally
until it is clear of the differential t o prevent damage
to the differential oil seal (B).
