If you are not planning to use the saw again for an ex-­
tended period of time, empty the oil tank and put in a
small amount of regular engine oil (SAE 30), and then
run t he s aw f or a t ime. T his i s n ecessary t o fl ush o ut a ll
remaining bio-­degradable oil from the oil tank, oil-­feed
system, c hain a nd g uide b ar, a s m any s uch o ils t end t o
leave sticky residues over time, which can cause damage
to the oil pump or other parts.

Waste oil is very dangerous for the environment.
Waste oil contains high amounts of carcinogenic sub-­
stances.
Residues in waste oil result in a high degree of wear and tear
at the oil pump and the sawing device.

AVOID S KIN A ND E YE C ONTACT
Mineral oil products degrease your skin. If your skin comes in
contact w ith t hese s ubstances r epeatedly a nd f or a n e xtended
period of time, it will desiccate. Various skin deseases may
result. In addition, allergic reactions are known to occur.

eyes, immediately wash them with clear water.
If your eyes are still irritated, see a doctor immediately!
Refuelling

Thoroughly clean the area around the caps, to prevent dirt
from getting into the fuel or oil tank.
Unscrew the tank cap (use the universal wrench if necessary,
see i llustration) a nd fi ll t ank w ith f uel m ixture o r s aw c hain o il
up to the bottom edge of the filling neck. Be careful not to
spill fuel or chain oil!

Lubricating t he c hain
During o peration t here m ust a lways b e s ufficient c hain o il i n
the c hain-­oil t ank t o p rovide g ood c hain l ubrication. A t m edium
oil feed rate, the oil tank holds enough for one fuel tank's worth
of operation. During this procedure check whether there is
enough the chain oil in the tank and refill if necessary. Do
this only with the engine turned off! Screw on the tank
cap by h and a ll t he w ay.
