the s aw!
Start t he e ngine a s d escribed a bove ( have a s ecure f ooting,
place the chain saw on the ground so that the chain and guide
bar a re n ot n ear a nything).
Hold t he f ront h andle fi rmly, w ith y our o ther h and o n t he r ear
grip.
Let t he e ngine r un a t m edium s peed a nd p ush t he h andguard
(6) i n t he d irection o f t he a rrow u sing t he b ack o f y our h and,
until the chain brake engages. T he chain should now stop
immediately.
Bring t he e ngine b ack t o i dle a nd r elease t he c hain b rake.
Caution: I f t he c hain d oes n ot s top i mmediately i n t his
test, turn off the engine immediately. Do NOT use the
chain s aw i n t his c ondition! C ontact a M AKITA s ervice
