Remove cover.
Remove the fan housing.

Cleaning t he c ylinder fi ns
A bottle brush can be used to clean the cylinder fins.
Replacing t he s uction h ead
The f elt fi lter ( 16) o f t he s uction h ead c an b ecome c logged.
It is recommended to replace the suction head once every
three m onths i n o rder t o e nsure u nimpeded f uel fl ow t o t he
carburetor.
To remove the suction head for replacement, pull it out through
the t ank fi ller n eck u sing a p iece o f w ire b ent a t o ne e nd t o
form a hook.
Replacing/cleaning the spark arrester
screen
The s park a rrester s creen s hould b e c hecked a nd c leaned
regulary.
Unscrew 3 screws (11) and remove the upper half of the
muffler (12) and then the spark arrester screen (14).
Caution: Do not use sharp or pointed objects for screen
cleaning. Damaged or misformed screen wires may result.
Reassembly t he s park a rrester s creen a s s oon a s t he u pper
muffler half and tighten the screws.
