HUAWEI TE30 Videoconferencing Endpoint
User Guide
Problem
While the TE30 is
in a conference, the
remote video can be
displayed
continuously but the
video quality is not
satisfactory.
While the TE30 is
not in a conference,
the local video is
too bright or too
dark.
While the TE30 is
in a conference,
when a remote site
is sharing its
computer desktop,
the local VGA
display cannot
display the shared
computer desktop.
A computer is
connected to the
TE30, but the local
VGA display does
not show the
computer desktop.
On the camera
control screen,
keys on the remote
control cannot be

Possible Cause
optical fiber transceiver is
poor.
Ask the remote site
administrator to perform a
local video loopback test. If
the video quality is good, the
video frame rate set at the
remote site is too high.
The video settings of the
endpoint are inappropriate.
The video settings of the
display are inappropriate.
The camera is faulty.
The resolution of the remote
computer exceeds the
maximum resolution
supported by the TE30.
The local VGA display is not
supported.
The capability of the VGA
display is limited. The
resolution or refresh rate of
the local SXGA output is too
high to be supported by the
VGA display.
The TE30 supports only
certain combinations of
resolutions and refresh rates.
The combination of the
resolution and refresh rate set
on the computer, however, is
not supported by the TE30. In
this case, the local site cannot
display or properly display the
computer desktop.
The camera to be controlled is
selected incorrectly.

12 Troubleshooting
Solution
Ask the administrator of the
remote site to disconnect from the
conference, reduce the video
frame rate, and join the conference
again.
Retain the default values for video
parameters on the TE30 and
display.
Retain the default values for video
parameters on the TE30 and
display.
Send the TE30 to the local
distributor for maintenance.
Ask the remote site administrator
to change the resolution and
refresh rate of the computer to
those supported by the TE30.
Replace the VGA display.
Set the resolution and refresh rate
of the local output to those
supported by the VGA display.
Set the resolution and refresh rate
of the computer used for VGA
input to those supported by the
TE30.
Access the camera control screen
and select the camera to be
controlled.
Verify camera settings.
