5. Power down the system by pressing and holding the Power button on the
Front Control panel.
6. Disconnect the AC power cords from the system and wait 60 seconds.
7. Connect the AC power cords and power up the system.
Running the Firmware Update Utility Through the Command Line Interface
To use the FWUpdate Utility, complete the following procedure:
1. Invoke the utility by entering the following command:
fwupdate [HEX File Name] [Options]
2. To view the command-line help, type:
fwupdate /h
or
fwupdate /?
3. To update boot block as well as the operational block of the firmware from
the command line interface, type:
fwupdate [HEX File Name] /upload /bootena
4. To update the operational block only from the command line interface:
fwupdate [HEX File Name] /upload
NOTE Check the FW release notes for the FW release that you are
trying to update. It may require updating both boot code and
operational code.
Running the Firmware Update Utility Through the GUI Interface
To update the firmware using the GUI version of the Firmware Update Utility,
complete the following steps:
1. Invoke the utility by entering the following command:
fwupdate <name>.hex
In the command, <name>.hex is the file you copied earlier.
2. Wait for the HEX file to load and the utility to display its menu items.
3. Use the arrow keys to select the Update Flash menu item.
4. Press the <ENTER> key.
