A fatal error in the power-
up phase of System Soft-
ware (SSW).
Loading user parameter
set failed.
Macro parameterization
failed, eg. Parameter de-
fault value that cannot be

Note: This fault cannot be
reset.
Parameter load or save
failed.
During backup creating or
restoring operation a
panel or PC-tool has failed
to communicate with the
drive as part of this opera-
tion.
Requested functionality is
not activated.
What to do
SSW runs in partial functionality
mode.
5 - Initializing WoRm volumes failed
6 - Loading FPGA configuration failed
7 - Loading application program failed
Make sure a valid user parameter
set exists. Reload if uncertain.
Reboot the control unit using para-
meter 96.08 Control board boot or
by cycling power. If the problem
persists, contact ABB.
Try forcing a save using parameter
96.07 Parameter save manually.
Check panel or PC-tool communica-
tion and if it is still in backup or re-
store state.
Check PLC programming.
Check parameter groups 50 Field-
bus adapter (FBA) and 51 FBA A
settings.
