5 Operation of the laser marking system
shutter is closed. Set "Deactivate while shutter closed" in "System settings" > "Operation/
information" > "INTERLOCK alarm detection".
The guide laser function is used for reference only. To obtain the most appropriate marking quality,
fine adjust the work distance and the position of the workpiece after performing a test marking.
Guide laser function (LP-GS052)
For LP-GS052, only the pointer is available as a guide laser function.
To turn on the pointer, select the "Guide laser" tool in the "Marking settings" screen. In the
"Test marking/guide laser" dialog, select "Guide laser ON".
"Guide laser" tool
The pointer is a red laser beam emitted diagonally from the pointer emission port. The
pointer must be turned on in the software. At the base position of the laser head, the pointer
indicates the center of the marking field. The pointer radiates for 30min or until you select the
"Guide laser OFF" button.
Remarks
Pointer radiation stops when remote mode or RUN mode is turned on.
If the test marking starts while the pointer is radiating, the pointer turns off temporarily.
The pointer turns on automatically after the test marking has stopped.
Guide laser function (LP-GS051, LP-GS051-L, LP-RC, LP-RF, LP-RV)
For LP-GS051, LP-GS051-L, LP-RC, LP-RF and LP-RV, you can use the guide laser to
display the marking field, marking image, masked objects, or work distance.
The guide laser is a red laser beam to simulate the marking process or to indicate the
marking field and work distance. The guide laser radiates for 1min or until you select the
"Guide laser OFF" button.
In the "Marking settings" screen, select the "Guide laser" tool to open the "Test marking/guide
laser" dialog.
