Password protection
You can set a password that is required when switching the user from "Restricted user" to
"Administrator".
In offline mode, you cannot select a user.

3.9 User selection
You can select between two user roles "Restricted user" or "Administrator". In offline mode,
you cannot select a user.
"Restricted user"
The access to screens and settings is restricted. The following screens are available if
remote mode is off: "Startup", "Marking settings", "Monitor", "Maintenance".
The parameters in the "Marking settings" screen that a "Restricted user" is allowed to edit,
can be configured in "System settings" > "Access permissions". You must be logged in as
"Administrator" to configure these settings.
"Administrator"
As "Administrator" you have access to all screens and settings. The following screens are
available if remote mode is off: "Startup", "Marking settings", "Monitor", "Maintenance", "Data
management", "System settings".
User selection
A password was not set for the "Administrator" role:
• When you establish an online connection between your PC and laser marking system,
the default user role is set to "Administrator".
A password was set for the "Administrator" role:
