5.4 Fine calibration

Calibration Pin, with calibration index system
The fine calibration of the FlexPLP with calibration index system must be done
with a Ø8 x 50 mm calibration pin.

ABB provides an additional FlexPendant application to calibrate PLP instead of
using calibration index system. For more information, see
page 94 with FlexPLP Addin.
Action
Using the FlexPendant, jog the
carriage or calibration index sys-
tem close to the calibration point.

Jog the axis slowly until the two
calibration holes are aligned and
the calibration pin can be inserted
freely.
