No spacer is required when installing a screw into the center hole.

Orient the steel frame's groove downwards, its back towards the HD displays, and insert
the steel frame into the steel plates' slots.
Align the bracket holes.
Partially tighten 10 M6 x 16 countersunk screws into the holes in steel frame 4.
CAUTION
Orient the side with two screw holes upwards, and align the bracket holes.
Fasten the six M6 x 16 countersunk screws to fix the rear connecting rod.
