Reverberation Time
Reverberation time is the time required for the sound reflections to decay by 60 dB below the
level of the original sound. Reverberation time (T60 or RT) is measured in seconds.
The RT in a telepresence room after decoration and before the installation of the equipment must
be between 0.3s and 0.5s.
Illumination
Illumination is the deliberate use of artificial light sources to brighten places or objects. Correctly
illuminating telepresence rooms involves using light sources that provide the appropriate
illuminance, color temperature, and color rendering index (CRI).

Temperature and Relative Humidity
To ensure the normal operation of the telepresence system:

Air Circulation
As an important indicator of air quality in a room, the amount of fresh air in the room directly
influences the ventilation and the degree of air pollution. During decoration and transformation,
the amount of fresh air in the room must be taken into account to create a comfortable indoor
environment for participants.
The amount of fresh air circulated in a telepresence room must be ≥ 30 m³/h per person.

3.3 Power Supply and Network

Three independent power supply systems are required in a telepresence room to provide power
to the illumination system, the telepresence system, and the air conditioning system respectively.

Illuminance is a measure of the density of luminous intensity on an object. It is the total
luminous flux incident on a surface per unit area and it is measured in lx.
The illuminance on participants facing the HD displays must be about 450 lx.
Color temperature is a measurement that indicates the hue of a light source. It is measured
in kelvin (K).
The color temperatures of all light sources in a telepresence room must be uniform, ranging
from 6000 K to 6500 K.
Color rendering is the effect of a light source on the color appearance of objects by
comparison with their color appearance under a reference light source (incandescent lamp
light).
The CRI of the light source in the conference area of a telepresence room must be higher
than 82.
The temperature in the telepresence room must range from 0°C to 40°C and the relative
humidity from 20% to 80%.
During a conference, the temperature must be between 20°C and 26°C and the relative
humidity between 40% and 70%.
