REAR DISC BRAKE
REMOVE AND INSTALL PAD
(SHOE & LINING)
REMOVAL
1) Hoist vehicle, remove wheel and release parking brake.
2) Remove manual adjustment gear cover.
3) Turn manual adjustment gear counterclockwise with an Allen
wrench so to have piston and brake pads away from the disc.
4) Remove parking brake cable clip and pin.
5) Remove parking brake cable bracket from caliper.
6) Pull cap out of caliper pin bolt and remove caliper pin bolt.
7) Remove caliper from caliper carrier.
NOTE:
Hang removed caliper with a wire hook or the like so as to
prevent brake hose from bending and twisting excessively
or being pulled. Don't operate brake pedal with pads re-
moved.
8) Remove pads with shims.
NOTE:
When removing pads, don't lose spring and antirattle
spring.
