8-36 BODY ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
1. Masking tape
2. Wood spatula
3. Broken wire
4. Repair agent
REPAIR
DEFOGGER CIRCUIT
1) Use white gasoline for cleaning.
2) Apply masking tape at both upper and lower sides of heat wire
to be repaired.
3) Apply commercially-available repair agent with a fine-tip brush.
4) Two to three minutes later, remove masking tapes previously
applied.
5) Leave repaired heat wire as it is for at least 24 hours before op-
erating defogger again.
INSTALLATION
When installing rear window defogger (optional), have the follow-
ing parts available.
D Back window glass
D Defogger switch
D Defogger lead wires (positive and negative wire)
REMOVAL
Remove back window glass.
For removal procedure, refer to Section 9.
INSTALLATION
1) Disconnect negative (–) cable from battery.
2) Install back window (or back door) glass.
3) Connect lead wires to harness connectors.
4) Install defogger switch on instrument panel and connect switch
connector to harness connector.
