3 At the CLI> prompt, type module chassis <x> slot <y>, where x and y are the
chassis number and slot number respectively, and then press Enter. The prompt
changes from CLI> to x/y MODULE>, where x/y specifies the module's chassis
and slot location.
At the x/y MODULE> prompt, type set control enable on, and then press Enter.

The optical output of the module should now be enabled.
To Set Up a HyperTerminal Serial Port Session with the ICIM2
1 Connect one end of a DB-9 to DB-9 straight-through serial cable to an available
COM port on your personal computer, and the other end to the ICIM front panel
serial port.
2 Open a HyperTerminal session on your laptop (or desktop) PC that you will use
to connect to the ICIM. The HyperTerminal program typically is found at:
Start\All Programs\Accessories\Communication\Hyperterminal
The new Connection Description dialog box appears.
Type in a name for the connection, select an icon of your choice, and click OK.

The Connect To dialog box appears.
