Note
Connect the DVR to a telephone line only if a dial-up connection is planned.
Caution
Power down the DVR before connecting hardware to it. See
on page 29.
For Telco communication, a data-grade (fax) telephone line is preferable to a standard line.
Special features, such as call waiting, should not be available on a telephone line used by
a Multi-Media DVR.
Note
For dial-up connections, LocalView is not needed to help set up a remote
connection.
