Replacement of Drive and Tail Sprockets

Use the following procedure to replace the drive and tail sprockets.
1. Turn off and lockout/tagout the power to the conveyor.
2. Retract the tail end sprocket take-up to the inner most position.
3. If possible, lift the chain off of the drive or tail sprocket. If there is not enough slack in
the chain, break the chain at the coupling.
4. Replace the sprocket(s). Refer to the illustrations for proper sprocket height relative
to the top of the side frame.
5. Replace the chain.
6. Extend the take-up at the take-up sprocket.
7. Verify the drive and tail end sprockets are set to 3-1/16-inch from the top of the
frame, and are level as shown in illustrations below.
8. Remove lockout/tagout and restore power.
