Preventive Maintenance
Solenoid Valve Style Oiler
The 24VDC or 110VAC solenoid operated oiler is designed to spray an oil mist
(10W, non-detergent) onto the drive chain in response to a timed external control
signal (typically from the PLC). This maintained external signal opens the 3-way, 2
position valve to pressurize the lubricant reservoir and spray nozzle.

Every 160 hours: check oil level in automatic oiler reservoir. Empty the drip cup.
Also, visually inspect chain for proper level of lubrication. Evidence of over-
lubrication would be excess oil on adjacent components, such as, driver pad, driver
pad track, and housing. Evidence of under-lubrication would be chain links that
appear dry, or chain link pins that are rusted, grooved, or galled and pin/bushing
joints that are discolored (brown, rust red, or black). Evidence of proper lubrication
