Cylinder Construction
The cylinder
sleeve is
made
of
special steel
alloy
and is
press
fitted into the
cast
aluminum
body.
A
compartment is
provided
between
the cylinder
barrels
to
accomodate
the
cam chain
and
tensioner.
There
are
two
cylinder
studs
w
hich are hollow
and
serves
as an oil
passagew ay.
An
O ring is installed
on
the
sleeve
skirt
to prevent gas
leaks.

Cylinder Disassembly
Remove
the
cylinder
head
in accordance
with
Section 3.2
B.

Cylinder Inspection
Measure the
cylinder bore,
taper
and
out-of-
round w ith a
precision
cylinder
gauge.
Take
measurements at
the top,
middle
and
bottom
in
both diametrical axes.
