10. Troubleshooting

Failure Symptom
Cannot turn on
EchoView Host cannot
receive a monitor's
signal
Others
EchoView User's Guide
Cause
Battery charge too low
Battery has been
changed
Too much distance
between the EchoViews
on the network
There is an obstruction
between EchoViews.
Battery is low
EchoViews have
different PAN ID
and/or Channel
numbers
Solution
Replace battery
Wait at least 60
seconds to turn on
EchoView
Check RAE Systems'
web site for inform-
ation on batteries
The distance should be
around 300m/1.000 ft,
line of sight. Relocate
EchoViews or deploy
MeshRouters to extend
the range
Relocate the EchoView
or deploy one or more
MeshRouters to extend
the range
Replace battery
Set all units to the
same PAN ID and
Channel number.
Perform "Join
Network" on the
monitors.
Turn EchoView off
and on again.
Consult RAE Systems
Customer Service.
