Antenna Cable Type
The cable connecting the KAC 1052 antenna output (J10528) to the antenna or
antenna feed-through must be a specially fabricated feedline supplied by
Honeywell. Due to the high level of RF voltage the KHF 1050 system is capable
of generating, substitute cables must not be used. Refer to Paragraph
Equipment Required But Not Supplied"
Honeywell supplied HN-to-HN feedline assemblies.

Dual Installation Feedline Considerations
In a dual installation where two KHF 1050 Systems share a common antenna,
the following information is applicable:
The antenna connectors (J10528) of the KAC 1052 antenna couplers are
simultaneously connected to the antenna by the use of a specially
fabricated Y-cable assembly. The 155-0302X-XXXX series of Y-cables
provide a wide range of length and connector configuration options. See
"Figure 8 - High Voltage Dual Coupler Cables"
Special cables that do not fall into the numbering system of the
155-0302X-XXXX series may be available in the 155-02989-XXXX series of
Y-cables.
Minimize the overall length of the feedline, with the longest
coupler-to-antenna path not to exceed 24 inches.
The best performance will typically be realized if the two legs of the Y-cable
that attach to the antenna couplers are as short as is practical. The common
leg that goes to the antenna can be extended to obtain the required length,
up to a total of 24 inches for the longest coupler-to-antenna path.
The minimum bend radius for each leg of the cable assembly is 2 inches
(51mm).
If one antenna coupler is temporarily removed from the aircraft, the HF
system must not be operated with the Y-cable HN connector left open. The
preferred approach is to temporarily replace the Y-cable with P/N
155-02988-XXXX single-system cable of the appropriate style and length.
(See
"Figure 6 - High Voltage Single Coupler Cable Assemblies"
Alternatively an HN cap, P/N 088-03514-0001, can be temporarily placed
over the unused connector. This HN cap is intended for temporary use only.
