• Place the KAC 1052 Antenna Coupler unit into the mounting tray and secure
it in place with two knobs. Provisions for safety wire installation is provided.
Safety wire must be installed on fixed-wing trays. However, safety wire
is optional for the helicopter mounting trays.
• When connecting the antenna coax to J10528 or the antenna, ensure that
the orange rubber seals around the center pin of the coax plugs are securely
in place.
6.C. KPA 1052 Power Amplifier Installation
6.C.(1) General
Select a mounting location for the KPA 1052 Power Amplifier, referring to
Paragraph
1052 can be mounted in any position.
6.C.(2) Power Requirements
The KPA 1052 Power Amplifier will operate from a 28 Vdc power supply. The
unit must be connected to the aircraft power supply with a circuit breaker with
not less than 30 Amp rating.
• After a location has been selected, mark the location of the four mounting
screws.
• Drill four #8 holes.
• Mount the tray to the mounting surface with four each # 8-32 fasteners and
lock nuts.
• Place the KPA 1052 Power Amplifier unit into the mounting tray and secure
it in place with two knobs. Provisions for safety wire installation is provided.
Safety wire must be installed.
6.D. KRX 1053 Receiver/Exciter Installation
• Select a mounting location, referring to Paragraph
Receiver/Exciter Mounting Location"
• After a location has been selected, mark the location of the four mounting
screws.
• Drill four #8 holes.
• Attach the mounting tray with four #8-32 fasteners and locknuts.
• Slide the KRX 1053 Receiver/Exciter into the mounting tray. Secure the
KRX 1053 Receiver/Exciter into place on the mounting tray with the knobs.
Provisions for safety wire installation is provided. Safety wire must be
installed.
