Shared self-test operands

However, it is often desirable for an output from an element within one function can be
available to an element within another function. For instance, it may be useful for the
digital fault recorder to record the output operands of any protection element.
Consequently a fixed, predetermined set of operands is available as to each function as
shown below.

The content of each operand list is dependent on the selected order code.
The shared operands functionality expands upon this system. With this feature, an output
from any element can be assigned as a shared operand within the EnerVista UR
Setup software. These signals can then be assigned as inputs to other functions.
For example, assume that the
within the automation function. This operand would then be assigned as a shared
operand, and would subsequently become available to the automation function. A total of
64 operands may be assigned as shared operands within each function.
To share self-test operands with another primary function, select the shared operands
feature within the function menu. For example, to share self-test operands with the
metering function, select the Settings > Metering > Shared Operands menu item to open
the shared operands window.
