Platen Glass and Cover

Clean the platen glass and the underside of the feeder/platen cover following the
procedure below.
WARNING
When cleaning the machine, first turn OFF the main power switch and disconnect the
power cord. Failure to do so may result in a fire or electrical shock.
IMPORTANT
If the platen glass or the underside of the feeder/platen cover is dirty, the original may not
be scanned clearly.

Clean the platen glass and the underside of the feeder/platen
cover with a cloth dampened with water, and wipe them with a soft
and dry cloth.
CAUTION
Do not dampen the cloth too much, as excess water may break the machine.
