5. Close the rear access panel. Refer to "Replacing the Access Panels" in Chapter 5,
"Installing Hardware Options."
6. Restore the server to its operating position in the rack. Refer to "Extending the
Server from the Rack" in Chapter 5, "Installing Hardware Options."
7. Power up the server. Refer to "Powering Up the Server" in Chapter 9, "Server
Setup."
8. Logon to the iLO Standard and reset the passwords.
A warning message appears on the iLO Standard web pages indicating the iLO
Standard Security Override function is currently active. An iLO Standard log entry is
added recording the use of the iLO Standard Security Override. An SNMP alert may
also be sent upon setting or clearing the iLO Standard Security Override function.
In the unlikely event it is necessary, enabling the iLO Standard Security Override
also enables the iLO Standard boot-block to be flashed. The boot-block is exposed
until the iLO Standard is reset. HP recommends the iLO Standard be disconnected
from the network until the reset is complete.
To reset the iLO Standard Security Override:
1. Power down the server. Refer to "Powering Down the Server" in Chapter 5,
"Installing Hardware Options."
2. Extend the server from the rack. Refer to "Extending the Server from the Rack"
in Chapter 5, "Installing Hardware Options."
3. Open the rear access panel. Refer to "Opening and Removing the Access Panels"
in Chapter 5, "Installing Hardware Options."
4. Locate the iLO Standard Security Override, and move the switch from the on
position to the off position.
5. Replace the rear access panel. Refer to "Replacing the Access Panels" in
Chapter 5, "Installing Hardware Options."
6. Restore the server to its operating position in the rack. Refer to "Extending the
Server from the Rack" in Chapter 5, "Installing Hardware Options."
7. Power up the server. Refer to "Powering Up the Server" in Chapter 9,
"Server Setup."
