ProLiant Essentials Foundation Pack

The ProLiant Essentials Foundation Pack is the recommended method for loading
system software, thereby achieving a well-integrated server and ensuring maximum
manageability and supportability. The ProLiant Essentials Foundation Pack contains
diagnostic utilities and ROMPaq tools.
IMPORTANT: Do not use the ProLiant Essentials Foundation Pack to load system software if
you purchased the system with a factory-installed operating system. Refer to the
Factory-Installed Operating System Software User Guide for software installation guidelines.
The ProLiant Essentials Foundation Pack software enables you to perform the
following functions:

Auto-detect and configure the server hardware and drive arrays.
•
Install any major server operating system using packaged product CDs.
•
Install the latest HP optimized drivers, ROMPaqs, and management agents.
•
Deploy and maintain multiple servers using Integration Server.
•
Create and copy standard server configuration scripts using the Scripting Toolkit
and Configuration Replication Utility.
•
Test ProLiant server hardware.
•
Create support software diskettes that enable you to update the drivers.
