Notes
• When using two streams in 3D mode, input the left
image to the IN 1 connector and the right image to
IN 2.
• When using one stream in 3D mode, use the IN 1
connector for input.
• When using in 2D mode, use the IN 2 connector for
input.
• When simultaneously recording 3D and 2D images
while using one stream in 3D mode, input the 3D
image to the IN 1 connector and the 2D image to IN
2.
R AUDIO (analog audio signal) IN connector (stereo

Inputs analog audio signals.
S AUDIO (analog audio signal) OUT connector
(stereo mini jack)
Outputs analog audio signals.
T NETWORK connector (RJ-45)
Connect a 1000 Base-T or 100 Base-TX network
cable here.
CAUTION
• For safety, do not connect the connector for
peripheral device wiring that might have excessive
voltage to this port. Follow the instructions for this
port.
• When you connect the LAN cable of the unit to
peripheral device, use a shielded-type cable to
prevent malfunction due to radiation noise.
U USB ports 3 and 4
Connect card readers, printers, and other devices here.
Note
Supported USB devices
• Use Sony USB media formatted in the FAT32 file
system.
• The connectors do not support all USB devices.
• USB hubs and devices with built-in hubs are not
supported.
• You cannot connect more than one barcode reader or
more than one card reader.
• You cannot connect two or more printers of the same
model.
V MENU MONITOR connector (15-pin mini D-sub)
Connect a touch panel monitor or similar device here.
W REMOTE RS-232C connector 1 (9-pin D-sub)
Use this connector when controlling this unit or
external devices from a serial interface device.

Infrared Remote Control Unit

Press the buttons on the remote control unit while pointing
it toward the infrared receiver on the unit.

A
CAPTURE button
Use this to capture still images.
A chapter separator is also created at the position in
which the still image was captured.
For details on use, see "Capturing Still Images"
(page 46).
B z REC button
Use this for manual recording.
When you press this button, video recording starts.
For details on use, see "Manual Recording"
(page 44).
C X PAUSE button
Use this while recording is in progress to pause
recording. Press this button again to resume recording.
A chapter separator is also created at the position in
which recording was paused.
You can also use this button to pause playback.
To resume playback, press this button again or press
the B PLAY button.
D x STOP button
Use this to stop playback or recording.
A recorded data separator is also created at the position
in which recording was stopped.
