Transferring Log
Records to a PC
Note Be sure to set up
the baud rate in the KVL
3000 to match the baud
rate in the communica
tions program.

Chapter 8 Viewing and Printing Log Records
The KVL 3000 may be connected to a COM port
on a PC (typically a laptop) and transfer the log
records to the PC. The records may then be
printed from the PC or saved on the PC as a file.
Important! A communications program (such
as PROCOMMt) must be running on the PC in
order to transfer log records.

Connect a cable between the KVL 3000
RS 232 port and a COM port on the PC
(typically COM1).

Launch a communications program on
the PC (such as PROCOMMt or
equivalent). Set up the program as
follows:
S No parity
S 8 bits
S 1 stop bit
S Translate line feeds <LF> to
Carriage Return and Line Feed
<CR><LF>
S 80 character width

Navigate to and select Log in the Main
Menu. The following screen will appear:
