Chapter 7 Using KVL 3000 in OTAR Systems
Enter UKEK
For OTAR operation, a Unique
Key Encryption Key (UKEK; functionally similar
to the USK for ASN operation) must be
programmed into the KVL 3000 for each
algorithm being used. Each UKEK is a
multi character key typically assigned by the
Crypto/Security Officer for the system, and is
used to communicate with other secure
equipment (such as a KMF). The exact number
of characters is determined by the algorithm.
