Set a value larger than 128.
• Set the value in increments of approximately 15 until the optimum value is obtained, while
checking if proper originals are judged as a blank page.
(4) Select [05 ADJUSTMENT MODE] and change the setting value for the code [7616] to adjust the
image area on the edge of the original to be used for the judgment for "Omit Blank Page".
• If the judgment of an original whose image is located only on the edge of the paper has not been
carried out as desired, arrange the threshold by setting a smaller value in order to make the
judgment area wider.
• Adjust the code which corresponds to the Image Repeat setting.

• The setting values of 24 steps correspond to 1 mm of the image area.
• If too small a value is set, shadows or stains on the edge of the original may be judged as images
and thus the desired result may not be obtained.
 Caution after the adjustment
• When the threshold for judging blank pages is changed, the same threshold for in the network
scanning function is also changed.
• Note that arranging the image area to be used for the judgment also adjusts that for "Omit Blank Page"
in network scanning.
• Originals with a small portion of small letters may be judged as a blank page. Therefore adjust the
value carefully while checking the copy image.
