Function
The SDTI-CP input is used as reference for
the system clock.
The internal frame phase is determined by
following the frame phase of the input.
When the SDTI-CP is switched with a
router switch or similar, if the phase
difference of the input video is within
±10 µs, the decoded video is switched
without transients appearing. If within the
Window (±1.5H), then there are no
transients on the ASI TS stream. If the
Window is exceeded, in order to follow the
input and reestablish the frame phase lock,
the TS stream is interrupted for a few
seconds.
Use this on condition that the input signal
is stable, in order to use a fixed latency.
The SDTI-CP input is used as reference for
the system clock.
The internal frame phase is determined
from the phase of the first video frame
input. At the time of SDTI-CP input
switching, therefore, with the relative phase
of the input frame and internal frame, the
latency fluctuates within a range of one
frame. Depending on the latency
fluctuation, an offset is applied to the audio
PTS, and lip sync is adjusted. Therefore,
depending on the phase difference
between input frame and internal frame,
the audio stream may be interrupted for
several seconds.
With the switching timing, image
degradation occurs up to a maximum of
one frame, but transients do not appear on
the ASI TS stream.
Use this when using asynchronous SDI
switched with a router switch or similar, in
order to output a stable TS stream even if
there is degradation in the input signal.
Note
If the switching timing of the input signal is
outside the standard (SMPTE RP168),
there may be degradation of the TS stream
or image.
