Impedance protection
TimerSelZ5: To set the zone timer selection mode of zone 5. i.e. Timers separated, Timers linked,
General start, PhSel start, Internal start and External start. The default setting is Timers separated.
OpModetPEZ5: To set the Off/On operation of the phase-to-earth timer of zone 5. The default setting
is Off.
tPEZ5: To set the time delay to trip for phase-to-earth faults in zone 5. It should be set identical to
zone 2/zone 3 timer setting.
OpModetPPZ5: To set the Off/On operation of the phase-to-phase timer of zone 5. The default
setting is Off.
tPPZ5: To set the time delay to trip for phase-to-phase faults in zone 5. It should be set identical to
zone 2/zone 3 timer setting.
Zone 6
OpZ6: For the Off/On operation of zone 6 and it is set to Off by default. This zone can be used to
provide switch on to fault protection.
DirModeZ6: To set the zone 6 direction mode. It can be set to Non-directional, Forward and Reverse.
The default setting is Forward direction mode.
PhSelModeZ6: To enable the measuring loops of zone 6. It can be set to Phsel logic, Release L1E,
ReleaseL2E, Release PE, Release L1L2 and Release PE&PP modes. The default setting is Phsel
logic mode.
LCModeZ6: To Off/On the adaptive load compensation mode of zone 6. It avoids overreaching of the
zone in to the next section in case of resistive fault due to remote end feed. Generally, this setting is
not needed for zone 6. The default setting is Off.
X1FwZ6: To set the forward positive sequence reactance reach of zone 6 in Ohm/p. It may be set
identical to zone 2 reach setting.
X1RvZ6: To set the reverse positive sequence impedance reach of zone 6 in Ohm/p. It may be set
less than zone 1 reach of distance protection for the shortest line in the reverse direction.
REoverRLZ6: To set the earth return compensation factor for resistance of zone 6. It provides zero
sequence compensation for phase-to-earth faults.
XEoverXLZ6: To set the earth return compensation factor for reactance of zone 6. It provides zero
sequence compensation for phase-to-earth faults.
RFPEFwZ6: To set the forward fault resistive reach in Ohm/p for the phase-to-earth faults of zone 6.
It may be set identical to zone 2 resistive reach setting.
RFPERvZ6: To cover the zone 6 fault resistive reach in Ohm/p for phase-to-earth faults in reverse
direction. It should be set identical to zone 2 resistive reach setting.
RFPPFwZ6: To set the forward fault resistive reach in Ohm/p for phase-to-phase faults of zone 6. It
should be set identical to zone 2 resistive reach setting.
RFPPRvZ6: To cover the zone 6 fault resistive reach in Ohm/p for phase-to-phase faults in reverse
direction. It should be set identical to zone 2 resistive reach setting.
