This chapter explains the points in the Arcam EBM Installation Checklist (IC).
This checklist includes the actions to be made during the Installation and is to be filled out by Ar-
cam Field Service Engineers (FSE).
Filled in document is to be stored under System S/N and Customer in SuperOffice

The Pre-Installation Guide provides site preparation instructions before installation of the Arcam EBM
system.

It is important to follow the recommendations in the Pre-Installation Guide when preparing the
site.
Deviations from the pre-installation guide can cause malfunction or damage to the Arcam EBM
system or personal injury.

Supply lines including connections shall follow local regulations and laws. Additional staff execut-
ing connections, for example electricians and plumbers, has to be scheduled to the time of instal-
lation. The customer is responsible for the fixed electrical installation of the EBM system and for
any plumbing work required prior to or during the installation. Arcam EBM is not responsible for
and will not perform any work on customer's fixed electrical installation or plumbing system.

This procedure must be supervised by Arcam Field Service Engineers (FSE) or Arcam trained
personnel.
The equipment arrives at site on pallets and in crates. Upon arrival the crates must be taken indoors and
kept in an environmentally controlled storage facility until the installation (see Pre-Installation Guide).
For moving the cabinets with the shipping crates and for positioning the cabinets without the crates into
their final position, a manually-operated p p a a l l l l e e t t j j a a c c k k . It should have a minimum capacity of 2 2 5 5 0 0 0 0 k k g g
(5500 lbs).
A standard EUR pallet jack does not fit the Chamber Cabinet. The minimum inner distance between the
forks must be at least 450 mm.
