Metal powder and its dust, especially if handled hot, is a potential risk of explosion and fire.
D D A A N N G G E E R R
The use of water or water-based extinguisher on metal fire can cause the water molecules to
crack and cause a Hydrogen explosion. Upon reaction with water, the metal fire forms flammable
gases. A metal fire burns with intense light and under strong heat development.
Consult local fire brigade for further recommendations and advice.

Fire extinguisher equipment for metal (EU - Class D) must be available in
the areas where metal powder is handled. If the EBM machine and PRS

in each room.
