5 Common Faults and Troubleshooting Measures
Solution
1. Check whether the display of the meter is normal.
2. If the meter is abnormal, replace it with a new
one. The replacement procedure is as follows:
1) Turn off the cable inlet switch of the PDF. 2)
Disconnect the fuses for the meter power supply
and voltage measurement, use a cable to short-
circuit the CT terminal for meter current
measurement, and disconnect the connecting
plate of the CT terminal on the terminal block. 3)
Remove the protective cover from the meter. 4)
Remove all cables from the meter, wrap the
cables with insulation tape, and label them. 5)
Remove the meter and replace it with a new one.
6) Connect all the cables according to the labels.
7) Install the protective cover for the meter. 8)
Connect the connecting plate of the CT terminal
on the terminal block, remove the short-circuit
cable from the CT terminal, and connect the fuses
for voltage measurement and meter power
supply. 9) Turn on the cable inlet switch of the
PDF.
3. If the meter is normal, check whether the
communications cable between the meter and the
ECC is properly connected, whether the wire
sequence is correct, and whether the cable is
damaged. Rectify any fault.
4. If all the preceding items are normal, power on
the equipment again and check whether the alarm
is cleared.
1. Check whether SPD circuit breakers 1QFS and
2QFS have tripped. If so, check whether the SPD
is normal. If yes, replace the SPD. If no, switch on
the circuit breakers.
2. If the circuit breakers are switched on and the
SPD indicator is normal, check whether the dry
contact cable is loose. If so, disconnect the power
supply and tighten the cable.
3. If no exception is found, verify that the cable
connection between the PDF and the ECC.
