5 Common Faults and Troubleshooting Measures
Solution
1. Ask the customer to disconnect the power supply,
turn off the cable inlet switch, remove the
protective panel from the PDF, and use a
multimeter to check whether there is voltage in
the PDF.
2. If a short circuit has occurred inside the ATS PDF,
switch on all output MCBs, and use a high-
precision multimeter to check whether every two
of L1, L2, L3, N, and PE are directly connected.
Use an insulation resistance tester or a withstand
voltage tester to check whether the insulation
resistance and leakage current meet the
requirements of the equipment. If not, check the
cable connection.
3. Check whether there are traces of burning black
inside the PDF or whether a short circuit is caused
by a conductor dropping to the copper bar. Check
whether the input and output cables are
connected properly. Rectify any cable connection
fault.
4. After the fault is rectified, use a multimeter to
measure the voltage according to 2. If the voltage
is correct, power on the equipment again.

2. Open the front panel and check whether the
green Phoenix terminal on the controller is
properly installed and cables are correctly
connected.
3. Use a multimeter to check which input is normal,
and transfer the ATS switch to the normal input
by operating the handle.
4. Ask the customer to disconnect the power supply
for repair. After power-off, reconnect the cables.
