Charge and Install
the Main Battery

The KVL 3000 main power is provided by a 7.5 V
nickel cadmium rechargeable
(supplied). This battery must be charged
overnight before its initial use with the KVL 3000.
A variety of chargers are available from Motorola
(see Appendix D). Charge the battery according
to the instructions provided with the charger.
Then, install the battery as shown below.
To install battery, line up battery with metal

rails, then slide forward and push until bat
tery snaps into place.
To remove battery, push up on release tab

and slide battery towards rear of KVL.
