Maintenance
Service Interval: Every 1,000 hours Refer to the
Engine Service Manual.
Every 1,500 hours—Inspect the crankcase
breather system. Contact an Authorized Service
Dealer.
Every 3,000 hours—Inspect the ECU and
related sensors and actuators. Contact an
Authorized Service Dealer.
Every 3,000 hours—Inspect the turbo charger.
Contact an Authorized Service Dealer.
Every 3,000 hours—Inspect, clean, and test the
exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) valve. Contact
an Authorized Service Dealer.
Every 3,000 hours—Inspect and test the intake
throttle valve. Contact an Authorized Service
Dealer.
Every 3,000 hours—Inspect and clean the
injectors. Contact an Authorized Service Dealer.
Fuel System
Maintenance
DANGER
Under certain conditions, fuel and fuel vapors
are highly flammable and explosive. A fire or
explosion from fuel can burn you and others
and can cause property damage.
• Fill the fuel tank outdoors, in an open area,
when the engine is off and is cold. Wipe up
any fuel that spills.
• Do not fill the fuel tank completely full. Add
fuel to the fuel tank until the level is 25 mm
(1 inch) below the top of the tank, not the
filler neck. This empty space in the tank
allows the fuel to expand.
• Never smoke when handling fuel, and stay
away from an open flame or where spark
can ignite fuel fumes.
• Store fuel in a clean, safety-approved
container and keep the cap in place.
Servicing the Water
Separator
Service Interval: Before each use or daily—Drain
water or other contaminants from
the water separator.
1. Park the machine on a level surface, lower the
cutting units, engage the parking brake, shut off
the engine, and remove the key.
2. Place a clean container under the fuel filter.
3. Loosen the drain valve at the bottom of the filter
canister and open the vent screw at the top of
the canister mount.
