Display Removal Method B
NOTE
Only follow this method if the Fixtures in Method
A are not available, and you have approval from
the regional technical support team.
1. Follow preheating steps described on
page 19.
NOTE
Begin this step after removal from the Hotplate
or oven, before the phone starts to cool off.
2. Place the phone into the Adjustable Holder
of the LCD Screen Opening Pliers
(IP0092-160315).
3. Verify the Display side is up and the base is
toward the Plier handles.
4. Press the Plier suction cups firmly to attach
them to the phone.
5. Squeeze the Plier handles until there is
enough of a gap between the side of the
Display and the Housing to insert the Metal
Shim Tool (3-00-K3-10000).
TIP
If the suction cups detach from the phone before
there is a gap, repeat steps 1-4.
