Changing the Engine Oil
SERVICE INTERVAL
After the first 5 hours. Every 100 hours (more frequently
in severe conditions).
1. Turn off the engine and wait for all moving parts
to stop.
2. Disconnect the wire from the spark plug.
3. Drain the oil while the engine is warm
from operation.
4. Place a pan under drain fitting and remove the oil
drain plug. Allow the oil to drain and replace the oil
drain plug.
5. Clean around the oil fill cap and remove the cap. Fill
to the specified capacity and replace the cap. Use
the oil recommended in the "Checking the Engine Oil
Level" (page 2-6). Do not overfill.
6. Start the engine and check for leaks. Stop the
engine and recheck the oil level.
7. Wipe up any spilled oil from the engine deck
mounting surfaces.

Checking the Tire Pressure
SERVICE INTERVAL
Every 50 hours.
1. Turn off the engine, wait for all moving parts to stop,
and leave engine switch in the Off position.
2. Check the tire pressure in the drive tires.
3. Inflate the drive tires to 117-138 kPa (17-20 psi).
Checking the Condition of
the Belts
SERVICE INTERVAL
Every 50 hours.
1. Turn off the engine, wait for all moving parts to stop,
and remove the spark plug wire(s).
2. Remove the belt cover and engine shield to check
the belt condition.
