Installing a 3 1/2-Inch Drive in a 5 1/4-Inch Slot

A 3 1/2-inch hard disk drive can be installed in a 5 1/4-inch
device slot.
The 3 1/2-inch device is fitted into a 5 1/4-inch frame (form
factor), so it can be secured in the larger device slot. This
frame might come with the hard disk drive or it might need
to be purchased separately. For more information, see the
dealer from whom the drive was purchased.
