This program permits conversion bet ween binary,
octal, decimal, and hexadecimal numbers.
Binary notation has been increasingly used in
machine
languages,
etc.
Converting
binary
numbers into decimal, octal, or hexadecimal
numbers is not so simple. This program makes
such conversions and easy task.

When the program is stared, it displays and explanatory message.
Press any key on the keyboard and thl' program prompts for data input. Thus,

Decimal
H)
Hexadecimal
Specify B, 0, D, or H for the data to be input.
The program then asks for the value of the input data. Input the number. Pressing the
'..J
key causes the input number and converted values to be displayed on the screen.
For example, when you select B {binary), the program displays 'Binary to
D/0/H.' ·
Input a binary number and the program displays the binary number, together wlth its
octal, decimal, and hexadecimal equivalents.
Pressing the
:...J.
key causes a return to the beginning of the program.
Any positive integer from
Oto 65535 can be converted by this program. Hence, a valid
number should not exceed the number of digits represented by the number of X's in
the program. Inputting data beyond the applicable range causes a return to the begin-
ning of the program (prompt for dat:1 input). Using an invalid number (e.g., anything
excert
O
or
1
in binary numbers, 8 and
9
in octal numbers, anything except
0-9, A-F
in hexadecimal numbers) also causes a return to the beginning of the program.
To terminate the program, press the BREAK key.
