To create a numbered extended IP ACL using abbreviations for both the source and destination, perform
the following task in global configuration mode:
Task
Define an extended IP ACL using an abbreviation
for a source and source wildcard of source 0.0.0.0,
and an abbreviation for a destination and
destination wildcard of destination 0.0.0.0.
Creating Named Standard IP ACLs
To create a named standard IP ACL, perform the following procedure, beginning in global configuration
mode:
Task
Step 1
Define a standard IP ACL, using an alphabetic
name.
Step 2
In access-list configuration mode, specify one or
more conditions that are to be permitted or denied.
This setting determines whether the packet is
passed or dropped.
Step 3
Exit access-list configuration mode.

{deny | permit} protocol host source host
destination

Router (config) # ip access-list standard name
